Our Coding Bootcamp
We’ll teach you the in-demand skills needed to land your first software developer job in San Diego
Students will begin their journey in an environment where they will watch videos, take notes, complete coding challenges and attend flipped classroom forums. As students progress they begin to use an Interactive Development Environment (IDE) and build out projects. The course culminates in students working on a group project and then a more extended 3-4 week capstone project.
Students at Origin Code Academy are exposed to the principles of high performing engineering teams and learn to adapt and thrive in challenging situations faster and more effectively than they ever could prior to attending the program. Instructors constantly monitor and evaluate the curriculum which is updated using an Agile approach, with input from all stakeholders including employers and alumni.
The program includes: software development, front-end development, consuming data, continuous delivery principles, database technologies and Full-Stack development.
After completing the course, a student is expected to:
Origin Code Academy prepares each student for multiple collaboration situations in the workforce such as: pair partnering, group projects, mob programming and individual projects. Each student will have the opportunity to partner and work with local entrepreneurs on their final projects.
We also partner with employers and the local business community to place our students and offer guidance throughout their job search after they graduate. Our Career Advisor will help each student create their new software engineering resume, create or update their LinkedIn page, demonstrate mock interviews and help with correspondence between student and employers.
